Wedding Color Scheme Trends for 2022/2023

Updated: Feb 9, 2023

Let’s just say it, the color palette for your wedding is the most important first step. It will be the inspiration for every detail of your special day! We put together the wedding color scheme trends to look out for in 2022 and 2023. We’ve been seeing some new, refreshing color palettes in the last few years. With bold, strong brides breaking the norms you’ll be seeing some unusual color combinations with unique shades and hues.

Greenery and Earth Tones

The soft, muted earth tones are continuing into 2022-2023! Sage green is huge and matches so perfectly with many other colors. Keep it classically neutral with taupes and ivory, or pair it with dusty rose for a serene romantic setting! Want a more rustic, bohemian theme? The darker earth tones like terracotta and rust will be going strong into 2023! These muted hues are so versatile for any wedding season or style.

50 Shades of Purple

All shades of purple are hot in 2022! Deep, vivid purples paired with lilac and ivory set a romantic mood that just makes us swoon. Combining the sensual lavender tones with soft hues of gray and lush greenery bring both a charming and elegant setting.

Very Pretty Very Peri

Light blue is a classic, beautiful, soft and inviting color scheme, especially for those spring or summer weddings! With Very Peri being Pantone’s 2022 color of the year, I expect the beautiful blues to be a thriving theme!

Bold Jewel Tones

Fall is just around the corner, and we are here for the bold jewel tones. Burgundy, Teal, and Burnt orange, these rich colors scream fall wedding! This lavish, regal color palette is perfect for those high fashion brides out there.

Classic Black and White with Gold

This look is so modern! The bride is really the showstopper here in a bright white dress surrounded by a classy sea of black. Gold accents will bring a regal feel and catch the sparkle in everyone’s eyes. This is the perfect look for your strong, vivacious city girl.

The color palette for your wedding should be colors that represent you, your personality and all the things you love! Having some trouble figuring it out? Give us a call! We’d love to help!
